Abstract

INDONESIA : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas mahasiswa dan menganalisis pengembangan kreativitas mahasiswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada pembuatan baterai aluminum-bleach. Sebagai sumber energi listrik, umumnya baterai dibuat dengan skala besar. Namun, baterai sederhana skala rumahan dapat dibuat dengan mudah menggunakan produk rumah tangga dengan prinsip aluminum-bleach battery. Maka pengetahuan mengenai pembuatan baterai aluminum-bleach sebagai implementasi dari konsep sel Volta dalam kehidupan sehari-hari perlu diberikan pada mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Kimia Dasar II semester II B sebanyak 38 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode pre experiment dengan desain one-shot case study. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa, lembar kerja mahasiswa berbasis proyek, dan angket pengembangan kreativitas mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas mahasiswa dalam penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada pembuatan baterai aluminum-bleach rata-rata 92,1% dengan kategori sangat baik. Persentase aktivitas mahasiswa paling tinggi ada pada tahap melakukan penelitian yaitu 100%. Pengembangan kreativitas mahasiswa pada pembuatan baterai aluminum-bleach rata-rata 77,00 yang menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa tergolong ke dalam kategori kreatif. Level kreativitas mahasiswa tertinggi pada aspek product dengan nilai 79,00. Kreativitas mahasiswa dapat berkembang sangat baik melalui penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada pembuatan baterai aluminum-bleach. ENGLISH : This research aims to describe the student activities and to analyze the student creativity development through the implementation of project-based learning on constructing of the aluminum-bleach battery. Batteries are generally made on a large scale as a source of electrical energy. However, a simple home-scale battery can be made easily using household products with aluminum-bleach battery principle. Therefore, the knowledge of constructing of the aluminum-bleach battery as an implementation of the Volta cell concept in daily life should be given to students of the 2nd B semester in 2nd Basic Chemistry course as many as 38 people. The research method used was a pre-experiment method with a one-shot case study design. The research instruments were the observation form of student activities, student worksheets, and questionnaires for student creativity development. The results showed that the average of student activity in the implementation of project-based learning was 92.1% with the excellent category. The highest percentage of student activities was on doing the experiment phase that was 100%. The development of student creativity averaged 77,00 shows that the students were creative. The highest level of student creativity was in the product aspect that was 79.00. Student creativity can develop very well through the implementation of project-based learning on constructing of the aluminum-bleach battery.
