Abstract

INDONESIA : Pisang Apuy (Musa x sapientum L.) merupakan salah satu komoditi unggulan Desa Argamukti Kabupaten Majalengka Jawa Barat. Karakteristik morfologi pisang apuy yang memiliki kemiripan dengan pisang sereh/pisang raja sereh/pisang raja cere (Musa sapentum) menjadi perdebatan pada sebagian besar masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi karakteristik morfologi pisang apuy di Desa Argamukti Kabupaten Majalengka, dan untuk menganalisis tingkat kemiripan antara pisang apuy dengan pisang sereh/pisang raja sereh/pisang raja cere menggunakan karakter morfologi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode pengambilan sampel secara sengaja (purposive sampling). Sebanyak enam individu pisang apuy, 3 individu pisang raja sereh dan 3 individu pisang Ambon Lumut diamati secara morfologi. Pendeskripsian jenis mengacu pada Descriptors for Banana (Musa sp.). Secara morfologi, pisang apuy, pisang raja sereh (Musa sapientum) dan pisang Ambon lumut (Musa acuminata Colla) dapat dibedakan berdasarkan karakter mofologinya, terutama pada karakter perawakannya, panjang batang semu, penampilan permukaan atas daun, ukuran daun, warna dan ukuran tangkai daun, bentuk pangkal daun, bentuk ujung buah, jumlah sisir/tandan, jumlah buah pisang/sisir, dan ukuran buah. Secara morfologi, pisang apuy lebih mirip dengan pisang raja sereh (tingkat kemiripan mencapai 80%), dibandingkan dengan pisang ambon Lumut. Namun demikian, variasi intraspesies dalam pisang apuy sendiri mencapai 13% terutama pada karakter panjang batang semu, penampilan permukaan atas daun, penampilan permukaan bawah daun, ukuran daun, lebar tangkai daun, jumlah sisir per tandan, jumlah buah pisang tiap sisir, dan ukuran daun ENGLISH : Apuy banana (Musa x sapientum L) one of super commodity. This study aims to identify the morphological characteristics of Apuy bananas at Argamukti village district Majalengka. and to analyze the level of similarity between apuy banana and sereh bananas, raja bananas and raja cere bananas (Musa sapientum) use morphological characters. The method used is the intentional sampling method (purposive sampling). Six individual apuy bananas, three raja sereh bananas (Musa sapientum) and three Ambon Lumut bananas were observed morphologically. The type description refers to Descriptors for Banana (Musa sp.). Morphologically, apuy bananas, raja sereh bananas and Ambon lumut bananas (Musa acuminata Colla) can be distinguished based on their mophological character, especially on the character of the stature, pseudo stem length, appearance of leaf surface, leaf size, color and size of leaf stalks, the shape of the base of the leaf, the shape of the tip of the fruit, the number of combs / bunches, the number of bananas / combs, and the size of the fruit. Morphologically, Apuy bananas are more similar to Raja Sereh bananas (the level of similarity reaches 80%), compared to Ambon Lumut banana. However, the intraspecific variation in the apuy banana itself reaches 13% especially on the character of pseudo stem length, appearance of the upper surface of the leaf, appearance of the leaf surface, leaf size, leaf stem width, number of combs per bunch, number of bananas per comb, and leaf size.
