Abstract
ENGLISH: This article discusses the application of the muzaraah system in agricultural cooperation held in Nigeria and Malaysia. Agricultural cooperation in Nigeria uses the Waqf Muzara'ah Suply Chain Model (WMSCM). While in Malaysia combining muzaraah and mudharabah. Using the literature survey method consisting of a number of research journals and books on muzaraah, as well as documents on agricultural activities in Nigeria and Malaysia, this article tries to present a comparison of models of agricultural cooperation in Nigeria and Malaysia, and reconstruct them to formulate models of agricultural cooperation in Indonesia. This article obtains findings that the implementation of agricultural cooperation in Nigeria and Malaysia uses the muzaraah system. The relationship between the farmer and the owner of the capital is a partnership, where the profits and losses are borne by both parties. The muzaraah system in Nigeria is able to be a solution for the decline in agricultural production which results in an increase in the country's food security and an increase in the welfare of farmers. Likewise, in Malaysia, it could raise the fate of peasants from the Malaysian Aboriginal people, whose customary agricultural land was taken up by the government to expand the state program. This article concludes that muzaraah supported by capital and human resource development and government policies will be able to overcome the problems of farmers so that they can improve their welfare.
