Abstract
The moral message must provide good value for people, which could change the mental condition that makes other people to be brave, vibrant, passionate, disciplined, etc. A moral message could be delivered through a literary work, such as poetry, novel, drama, or movies. This research has the purpose to analyze the moral contained in the lyrics in the album The Script entitled No Sound without Silence. There are two formulation problems, among them: 1) How connotative and denotative meaning described in The Script’s album No Sound Without Silence. 2) What moral message described in The Script’s album No Sound Without Silence. The data source of this research is The Script entitled No Sound without Silence it contains eleven new songs are No Good in Goodbye, Superheroes, Man on a Wire, It’s Not Right For You, The Energy Never Dies, Flares, Army Angles, Never Seen Anything ‘Quite Like You’, Paint the Town Grown, Without Those Songs, Hail Rain of Sunshine. Researcher is listening, observing, and write song lyrics from the original tapes of the album No Sound without Silence by The Script. Based on the findings, the researcher found the moral messages contained in the lyrics of the songs in the album No Sound without Silence by The Script, among them are a moral message with the principle of good attitude, the principle of justice, the principle of respect for self. Each word on the lines of a song that meant with the connotative and denotative approach is an allusion.
