Abstract

ENGLISH : The sophistication of media communication now can be used by everyone, one of them as a media to proselytizing in increasing faith and loyalty, especially for Muslims. In this modern era, the implementation of Islamic da’wah cannot only perform religious speeches in mosques or sermons. Nowadays movies can also be used as media in proselytizing because it is a very appropriate media to give influence to the general public. Da’wah media through art and culture is beneficial and feels significant in terms of the application of Islamic ideology. It can be an excellent opportunity for proselytizers when the effects of the movie can fill with Islamic content (Alamsyah, 2012). The focus of the problem of the phenomenon in this research is about the Islamic moral values that exist in the movie Bilal: A New Breed of Hero and also the meaning of signs based on representament objects, and interpretants. The writer used Charles Sanders Peirce’s theory, specifically ‘Triangle of Meaning’. The research method of this research is descriptive qualitative method. Then, the data collection techniques used are note-taking and documentation. After that, the technique of analyzing data of this research uses four steps; there are identifying, classifying, interpreting, and concluding the data. Furthermore, the writer found 29 Islamic moral values in the Bilal: A New Breed of Hero movie, especially moral values about striving and trusting Allah which are balanced by practicing the teachings of Islam in carrying out His commands and avoiding His prohibitions. Allah will surely answer the prayers of His servants. If we are given a blessing and be grateful, surely Allah will add that blessing. In this research, the sign emerged from the dialogues of the cast of Bilal: A New Breed of Hero movie. After discussing the elements of sign, the analysis then discussed the object, which means something that is represented. In relation, the object can be seen from the style of speech, visualization, and dialogue that appears as a sign then processed. Thus, the results are concluded using the writer’s language. Furthermore, the interpretant is someone’s interpretation of the sign. Interpretant in the Bilal: A New Breed of Hero movie is an interpretation of the writer produced from representament. INDONESIA : Kecanggihan media komunikasi saat ini dapat digunakan oleh semua orang, salah satunya sebagai media untuk dakwah dalam meningkatkan iman dan kesetiaan, terutama bagi umat Islam. Di era modern ini, penerapan dakwah Islam tidak hanya dapat dilakukan melalui ceramah di masjid atau khotbah. Saat ini film juga dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk berdakwah karena merupakan media yang sangat tepat untuk memberikan pengaruh kepada masyarakat umum. Media dakwah melalui seni dan budaya bermanfaat dan terasa signifikan dalam hal penerapan ideologi Islam. Ini bisa menjadi peluang yang sangat bagus bagi para pendakwah ketika efek film dapat diisi dengan konten Islami (Alamsyah, 2012). Fokus masalah dari fenomena dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang nilai-nilai moral Islam yang ada di dalam film Bilal: A New Breed of Hero dan juga makna tanda-tanda berdasarkan representasi,objek, dan interpretan. Penulis menggunakan teori Charles Sanders Peirce, khususnya ‘Triangle of Meaning’. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Kemudian, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pencatatan dan dokumentasi. Setelah itu, teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan empat langkah; ada yang mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasikan, menafsirkan, dan menyimpulkan data. Selanjutnya, penulis menemukan 29 nilai moral Islam dalam film Bilal: A New Breed of Hero, terutama nilai moral tentang berjuang dan mempercayai Allah, yang diimbangi dengan mempraktikkan ajaran Islam dalam melaksanakan perintah-Nya dan menjauhi larangan-Nya. Allah pasti akan mengabulkan doa para hamba-Nya. Jika kita diberikan berkah dan kita bersyukur, maka Allah akan menambah berkah itu. Dalam penelitian ini, sebuah tanda muncul dari dialog para pemeran film Bilal: A New Breed of Hero. Setelah membahas elemen-elemen tanda, barulah kemudian membahas objek, yang merupakan sesuatu yang direpresentasikan. Dalam kaitannya, objek dapat dilihat dari gaya bicara, visualisasi, dan dialog yang muncul sebagai tanda kemudian diproses. Dengan demikian hasilnya disimpulkan menggunakan bahasa penulis. Selanjutnya, interpretan adalah interpretasi seseorang terhadap tanda. Interpretan dalam film Bilal: A New Breed of Hero adalah interpretasi dari penulis yang dihasilkan dari representament.
