Abstract
Modern society’s life nowadays can hardly be separated from literature, almost every day we are faced with literary work in every kind of activity. The research was distributed by curiosity the researcher about how to change the point of view that occurs in the novel and film The Fault in Our Stars, then the researcher formulates two problems a staple in this study 1. How does the point of view of working in the novel and film and 2. How is the process of changing point of view from the novel adapted into film. This research is using literary criticism with objective approach and it also examines using the methodology of structuralism. The researchers focus on the perspective of working in novels and movies and also point of view that has been on the adaptation of the novel to the film. The theory of adaptation and comparative literature was used to conduct this research. The results of this research show that the point of view that is used in the novel The Fault in Our Stars using a first person perspective where the whole story in perspective by the main character who also plays doubles as Narrator.
