Abstract

INDONESIA: Aktivitas pendidikan secara reguler dilaksanakan di sekolah/madrasah melalui tatap muka. Namun, seiring dengan pandemi Covid-19, pendidikan dialihkan ke rumah melalui kebijakan social distancing. Jika pendidikan orientasinya pemeliharaan diri peserta didik, kegiatan pendidikan melalui kebijakan social distancing dipertanyakan efektivitasnya dalam mencapai orientasi pendidikan tersebut. Tulisan ini bertujuan menjelaskan PAI dan pemeliharaan diri di tengah pandemi Covid-19 Covid-19. Pemeliharaan diri dalam tulisan ini mengacu pada teori pemeliharaan diri dari Ushul Fiqh sebagai kebutuhan hidup manusia dalam mencapai hidup berkualitas. Melalui metode deskriptif dengan memanfaatkan studi literatur dapat disimpulkan, inti Pendidikan Agama Islam itu pemeliharaan diri manusia yang tercermin dalam tujuan, materi, proses, dan evaluasinya. Pendidikan Agama Islam di tengah pandemi Covid-19 yang dilaksanakan dengan isolasi dan pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi teknologi informasi merupakan pengejatawantahan dari pemeliharaan diri. ENGLISH: Educational activities are regularly carried out in schools/madrasah through face to face. However, along with the Covid-19 pandemic, education was transferred to home with social distancing policies. If the orientation of education is students’ self-preservation, educational activities with social distancing policies are questioned about their effectiveness in accomplishing the educational orientation. This paper aims to explain PAI and self-preservation in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Self-preservation in this paper refers to the theory of self-preservation from Usul Fiqh as the necessity of human life in achieving quality life. Tthis paper uses descriptive methods by utilizing the study of literature that can be concluded, the core of Islamic Religious Education is the maintenance of human self which is reflected in its objectives, material, process, and evaluation. Islamic Religious Education in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, carried out with isolation and distance learning using information technology applications, is a manifestation of self-preservation.
