Abstract

This research intends to ensure that the emergence of corona-virus dieses (Covid-19) was followed with legal-political bases by Provincial Government of West Java. There are three critical problems brought about by the appearance of Covid-19 which spreads massively. First, the collapse of social order in large scale including the discharge of labor force, the increase of unemployment, the collapse of small-micro middle enterprises and so on. Second, the largescale social distancing policy issued by the Provincial Government of West Java in response to Covid-19. Third, the massive treatment of Covid-19 leads to additional volumes of works by the government. The method used in this research is theoretical by collecting official documents issued by Provincial Government of West Java in prevention of Covid-19. From these documents it can be inferred as follows: First, the treatment strategies of Covid-19 can be mapped at county level as well as at the lower levels of governmental structures. Second, Provincial Government of West Java expected that this Covid-19 spreads in low frequency. Third, good coordination runs well among stakeholders in treating this virus. In conclusion, Covid-19 has threatened the social order of Indonesian society, including West Java peoples. Therefore, it is necessary for Provincial Government of West Java to issue strategic policies to stop this virus to spread.
