Abstract

This article studies in the beauty of Persian poetries and the teachings of Islamic mysticism of Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi. Jalaluddin Rumi is one of the great sufis and poets in Islamic world that has a remarkable influence, not only to the Islamic world, but also to the western world. Both Muslim and Western thinkers were influenced by the works of Rumi. This article focuses its study to the teachings of Islamic mysticism of Rumi on God, man, and universe. After that, it will be continued by reading Rumi’s beautiful Persian poetries and by expressing a hidden meanings beside the beauty of Rumi’s poetries. The objective of this study is to appreciate Rumi’s works that almost all tells about Love, Love of God, and love to all creatures. This writing also indicates the significance of Rumi’s Islamic mysticism to heal and to recover a modern man from alienation of modern world.
