Abstract

ENGLISH: In this research, researcher are used three literary works in different genres, that is film Beauty and The Beast 2017, folklore Lutung Kasarung 2012, and animation film of Kisah Nabi Ayub As “Kesabaran yang Berbuah Nikmat” 2019. In this research, researcher found several resemblances in the three literary works, that is narration, conflict, character, and alienation. Alienation is a research topic that is very interesting to be studied by researcher. In this case, the alienation studied by researcher as the cavern concept, which means a concept of alienation from the main character. Then, researcher have formulated the statement of problem in this research in (1) how the cavern concept in Beauty and The Beast, Lutung Kasarung, and Kisah Nabi Ayub As, (2) how the resemblances of cavern concept in Beauty and The Beast, Lutung Kasarung, and Kisah Nabi Ayub As. The purposes of this research is to (1) identifying the cavern concept in Beauty and The Beast, Lutung Kasarung, and Kisah Nabi Ayub As, and (2) comparing the resemblances of cavern concept in the three literary works. Researcher have a framework of thinking to answer the appearances of cavern concept in the three literary works, that is selecting the literary works, read and watched the literary works, then identifying the cavern concept in each narration through the literary elements or devices, and then comparing the resemblances of literary element to reveal the cavern concept. This type of research is a qualitative approach, and the method used by researcher is comparative literature by Bassnett and Damono. The result of this research that there is the cavern concept in each literary works, because the three literary works have resemblances in the narration, and there are several resemblances in the literary elements or devices in revealing the cavern concept, that is (1) Symbol, (2) Character, (3) Conflicts, (4) Grotesque, (5) Alienation, and (6) Chatarsis. INDONESIA: Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan tiga karya sastra dengan berbeda genre, yakni film Beauty and The Beast 2017, folklore Lutung Kasarung 2012, dan film animasi Kisah Nabi Ayub As “Kesabaran yang Berbuah Nikmat” 2019. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan beberapa persamaan yang terdapat pada ketiga karya sastra, yakni pada narasi, konflik, karakter dan keterasingan. Keterasingan merupakan topic penelitian yang sangat menarik untuk dikaji oleh peneliti. Dalam hal ini, keterasingan yang dikaji peneliti merupakan sebuah cavern concept, yang berarti sebuah konsep keterasingan dari karakter utama. Untuk itu, peneliti telah merumuskan permasalahan penelitian ini pada (1) bagaimana cavern concept yang muncul pada Beauty and The Beast, Lutung Kasarung, dan Kisah Nabi Ayub As, dan (2) bagaimana persamaan cavern concept pada Beauty and The Beast, Lutung Kasarung, dan Kisah Nabi Ayub As. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk (1) mengidentifikasi sebuah cavern concept yang terdapat pada Beauty and The Beast, Lutung Kasarung, dan Kisah Nabi Ayub As, dan (2) membandingkan persamaan pengungkapan cavern concept yang terdapat pada ketiga objek. Peneliti memiliki kerangka berfikir untuk menjawab kemunculan sebuah cavern concept pada ketiga karya sastra, yakni dengan cara memilih karya sastra, membaca dan menonton karya sastranya, lalu mengidentifikasi cavern concept pada masing-masing narasi melalui perangkat-perangkat sastra, lalu membandingkan persamaan-persamaan perangkat sastra untuk mengungkap cavern concept tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan qualitatif dan metode yang digunakan peneliti adalah Comparative Literature dari Bassnett dan Damono. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat sebuah cavern concept pada masing-masing karya sastra, karena ketiga karya sastra tersebut memiliki persamaan pada narasi, dan terdapat beberapa persamaan perangkat karya sastra dalam mengungkap sebuah cavern concept, yakni (1) Simbol, (2) Karakter, (3) Grotesque, (4) Konflik, (5) Keterasingan, dan (6) Katarsis.
