Abstract

This research was conducted to study how the impact of the strength of kindness, appreciation of beauty and excellence and open mindedness towards the meaningfulness of life for volunteers of natural disasters. This study uses a non probability sampling method with the type of snowball sampling and convenience sampling on a sample of 110 disaster volunteers across West Java. The results of this study indicate that the variables for the strength of kindness and the strength of appreciation of beauty and excellence did not have impact on the meaningfulness of life. Whereas for variable strength of open mindedness itself indicating the impact towards the meaningfulness of life with values (sig = 0.001 and 0.002) in low and medium categories. The results demonstrate the higher the strength of character, the higher the meaning of life they have.
