Abstract

ABSTRACT The transformation of Lilith character in C.S. Lewis’ and Andrew Ralph Adamson’s The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and Wardrobe explore some transformation of the characters that originate taken from novel into movie. This study aims to describe and explain (1) How the character of Lilith transform from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe’s novel into movie, and (2) The function of Lilith characterstransformation from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe’s novel into movie. This study uses a comparative study method; the studying approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. The data that use in this research are words, sentences, screenshot movie pieces taken from films directed by Andrew Ralph Adamson and dialogue between characters that show cruelty a magician, and compared with some of the words written in the novel written by C.S Lewis. The source of the data that taken in this study is in the form of screenshot pieces. The data analysis technique in this study uses interactive analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawbacks. The research procedure includes the stages of preparation, implementation, and presentation of research results. based on the results of data analysis, it can be summarized as follows: 1. There are 25 transformations or adaptations available from the novel C.S Lewis into Andrew Ralph Adamson film in which there is a visualized difference and there are not visualized, 2. Every transformation that can be explained through cinematic science and pragmatic science, this study provides information that every change in the novel, certainly contains and has the purpose of every change that exists. The transformation of Lilith characters in C.S Lewis novel and Andrew Ralph Adamson The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe’s is one of the studies that has very few flaws, and for those who are interested. As a researcher, I suggest you explore money books, research, and various journals related to The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe’s. By exposing a lot of journals you will understand more about some changes in character and have more ideas to be poured into your thesis.
