Abstract
This study aims to analyze the types of conceptual metaphors contained in the lyrics of the songs by Bring Me The Horizon Band and the analysis of meaning based on the classification of three types of conceptual metaphor. The data source used is the song lyrics contained in the album That’s The Spirit in 2015. This study uses descriptive methods with conceptual metaphors in the literary works of George Lakoff and Mark Johnsen (2003) as a basis theory and analysis of the meaning of the classification of conceptual metaphors. Based on the results of the analysis, That’s The Spirit (2015) by Bring Me The Horizon, contains three types of conceptual metaphor were found in seven song lyrics such as: Throne, Doomed, Follow You, and so on. The researcher found disappointment and death as the most dominant source domain in the analysis of the meaning of song lyrics. The relation between conceptual metaphor and meaning, which presents in the song lyrics is derived from the mental conditions and remind the event which influencing of the conditions among young people in the narration of the lyrics. The most dominant type classification of conceptual metaphor of the lyrics is the ontological metaphor and the structural metaphor.
