Abstract

INDONESIA : Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan temuan permasalahan yang terdapat pada siswa kelas II di MI Al-Khoeriyyah III Kabupaten Garut, yakni rendahnya kemampuan keterampilan menulis karangan naraasi siswa, yang dibuktikan dengan belum tercapainya nilai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM). Hal ini terjadi karena siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menuangkan apa yang akan ditulis, sehingga siswa dalam kegiatan menulis karangan narasi masih kebingungan untuk menuangkan ide yang ada dalam pikirannya, karena masih kurangnya kosa kata yang mereka ketahui serta tidak jarang mereka mengulang-ngulang kata yang sama dan menggunakan bahasa daerah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa sebelum penggunaan model concept sentence, aktivitas belajar siswa dengan diterapkannya model concept sentence, dan peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa dengan menggunakan model concept sentence. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pemikiran bahwa keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa dapat meningkat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran peneliti mengajukan hipotesis tindakan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran concept sentence diduga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap secara berulang, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II MI Al-Khoeriyyah III yang berjumlah 23 orang, terdiri dari 13 siswa perempuan dan 10 siswa laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ketika model concept sentence diterapkan, aktivitas belajar dan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa mengalami peningkatan. Dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan, aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat dari siklus I hingga siklus II. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa dari pra siklus, siklus I, dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari pra siklus sebesar 43,04 ternasuk kategori sangat kurang, siklus I tindakan I sebesar 50,22 termasuk kategori sangat kurang dan tindakan II sebesar 59,13 termasuk kategori kurang, siklus II tindakan I sebesar 73,91 termasuk kategori cukup dan tindakan II 84,13 termasuk kategori baik. Dari data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa model concept sentence dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas II MI Al-Khoeriyah III.   ENGLISH : This research is motivated by the findings of the problems found in class II students in MI Al-Khoeriyyah III Garut Regency, namely the low ability of students' narrative essay writing skills, as evidenced by the achievement of the Minimum completeness Criteria (KKM). This happens because students have difficulty in writing what will be written, so students in writing narrative essay activities are still confused to put the ideas in their minds, because of the lack of vocabulary they know and they often repeat the same words and use local languages. The purpose of this study was to determine the student's narrative essay writing skills before using the concept sentence model, student learning activities by applying the concept sentence model, and improving students' narrative essay writing skills using the concept sentence model. This research is based on the thought that students' narrative essay writing skills can be increased influenced by several factors, among others by applying the learning model the researcher proposes an action hypothesis that the application of the concept sentence learning model is thought to improve students' narrative essay writing skills. The method of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages repeatedly, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 23 students of Class II MI Al-Khoeriyyah III, consisted of 13 female students and 10 male students. Data collection techniques used were tests and observations. The results showed that when the concept sentence model was applied, the students' learning activities and writing narrative essay skills increased. From the results of observations made, student learning activities increased from cycle I to cycle II. The improvement of students' narrative essay writing skills from pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II increased the average value of students from pre-cycle by 43.04 including the very poor category, the first cycle of action I was 50.22 including the very less category and the second action was 59.13 including the less category, the second cycle of the action I was 73.91 including enough category and the second action was 84.13 including the good category. From the data obtained it can be concluded that the concept sentence model can improve the narrative essay writing skills of Grade II MI Al-Khoeriyah III students.
