Abstract

This research based on the minimal problem of empowerment implemented in the health sector. This research aims at discuss the problem of the role posyandu cadres in improving community health. The study focus to find out analysis program related by Paysandú’s innovation, process and the results of role of posyandu cadres in improving community health. Theoretical foundation uses Role Theory from Levinson (role set) the role includes norms that is the role associated with one's position in society. The role is a concept that is the role of the concept of what can be done by individuals in a society or organization. The role is a behavior that is the role said to be an individual behavior that is important for the social structure of society. This study uses descriptive qualitative. Type of case study data was collected through interviews, observation, and study documents. The data gotten from logical interpretation related by context of community development. The result of research show the role of posyandu cadres in improving community health have a role through posyandu cadres innovation, health training conducted by cadres, monitoring and evaluation. Process at posyandu in mobilizing human resources uses elements of participation from cadres to empower the community in order to improve maternal and child health and achieve community welfare. The innovation made by posyandu cadres has brought posyandu to become champions in provincial competitions. The results of the study indicate that the innovation at posyandu can increase public trust and improve public health. In this study, it can be concluded that the role of Posyandu cadres in improving public health at Posyandu Anggrek Biru 1, Cibiru Hilir Village, Cileunyi sub-district is very important and the hard work done by posyandu cadres has resulted in very significant results.
