Abstract
The number of LGBT cases increasing every year is a concern and an issue that must be addressed wisely and competently by counselors in counseling practices. This paper theoretically discusses the results of research on multicultural competencies that counselors must have in the practice of counseling with LGBT cases, and in an Islamic perspective. The six continuum ideas in counseling practice on LGBT cases that must be mastered by counselors include self, Relationship, Differential of feeling, Identify, Spiritual Intervention and Acceptance of environmental. The ACA Code of Ethics requires affirming LGBT identities, including validating LGBT individuals as part of the competency that counselors must master. In addition, the counselor himself must recognize himself, conduct a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment of LGBT clients, not blame, and uphold ethical standards. As a Muslim counselor, the counselor's view of the teachings of Islam which strictly prohibits LGBT from becoming the norm that can be conveyed to clients so that the framing becomes appropriate.
