Abstract

Semiotics is the study about a sign, it could be the picture of something, public sign, road sign, and so on. These signs convey the information that is communicative and signis able to replace something that can be thought or imagined. Sign also can be found in the Action Adventure Games such as Assassin’s Creed: Odyessey. Therefore, the aim of this research is to find out semiotics elements of triadic relation process on hero’s abilities. The researcher uses qualitative method to analyze the data.The researcher use the triadic relation process to analyze about what are the representamen, object, and interpretant on the text and also the picture. The researcher collects the data by screen capturing the games of Assassin’s Creed. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzes the data about what are the meaning of symbols, what are the meaning of pictures, and what are the relation between text and picture of hero’s abilities on Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. The result of this research shows that there are some conclusions in the game based on the question of the research. The result of the classification is divided into three directions and clues: the developer of the game wants to give an excellent gaming experience, the developer of the game makes the player wondering and interesting sensation at the same time and the developer of the game giving the provide an overview about the ability itself.
