Abstract

Waqf is a unique form of instrument that bases its function on the elements of virtue (tabarru), goodness (ihsan) and brotherhood (ukhuwah). Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Galmasi is an institution that manages and develops waqf assets. Waqf practices that occur in people's lives have not fully run orderly and efficiently, various cases of waqf property is not maintained as it should be, abandoned, switched to the hands of third parties or into the hands of heirs by way of law, such as the situation in the Islamic Education Foundation Galmasi Kec. Kersamanah Kab. Garut. This is due to the negligence or inability of nadzir in managing and developing waqf property, ignorance of nadzir to waqf objects, also because of the attitude of the community who are less concerned or understand the status of waqf property that should be protected for the general welfare in accordance with the purpose, function, and allocation of waqf. Problem Formulation: 1. What is nadzir's knowledge of waqf asset management provisions? 2. What is the understanding of nadzir on the provisions of waqf property management?, 3. What is the attitude of nadzir towards the provisions of waqf property management?. 4. What is the pattern of nadzir behavior in managing waqf property? The purpose of this study is: 1. To explain how nadzir knowledge of the provisions of waqf property management. 2. To describe how nadzir understands the provisions of waqf property management. 3. To analyze how nadzir attitude to the provisions of waqf property management. 4. To analyze the pattern of behavior nadzir in managing waqf property. The method in this writing uses field research and is analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques through stages: studying, reducing, tabulating, categorizing, interpreting, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study that: 1. Management of waqf assets in the Islamic education foundation Galmasi Kab. Garut run and managed by nadzir less effective. The benefits of waqf are used to meet personal needs and used to the extent of development of alakadarnya. 2. Wakif in order to make his property to mauquf 'alaih no problem because according to the purpose of waqf itself submits completely an eternal object substance, to be taken advantage of for the good and progress of Islam, 3. The management of waqf property by nadzir in the Islamic education foundation Galmasi Kab. Garut is very necessary to make self-improvement starting from many reviews ranging from aspects of legal awareness, with various stages: Stages of legal knowledge, stages of legal understanding, stages of legal attitudes, and stages of legal behavior patterns, where the stage can not once be if not done habituation and in the exhibition of each stage well. 4. So that the purpose of the maintenance and utilization of waqf objects goes well, it should remain in the corridor allowed by Islamic law
