Abstract

INDONESIA : Larva Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) merupakan salah satu larva serangga yang mampu mendegradasi berbagai jenis sampah organik dengan baik. Namun pencernaannya tidak akan optimal jika sampah daun masih banyak mengandung selulosa. Mikroorganisme berupa bakteri Bacillus subtilis dan kapang Trichoderma sp diketahui mampu mendegradasi selulosa menjadi molekul sederhana. Perlakuan awal Bacillus subtilis dan Trichoderma sp secara bersamaan diharapkan terjadi fermentasi sampah daun dengan baik, sehingga akan meningkatkan hasil degradasi struktur selulosa pada daun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan biomassa larva, persentase konsumsi substrat, ECD, WRI dan neraca massa pada larva yang diberi pakan berupa sampah daun yang telah difermentasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu sampah daun difermentasikan dengan Bacillus subtilis dan Trichoderma sp (1:1), yang kemudian digunakan sebagai pakan larva Hermetia illucens dengan variasi sampah daun 50, 100, 150, dan 200 g/100 ekor larva usia 6 hari. Data dianalisis menggunakan Anova pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan 200 g sampah daun merupakan perlakuan terbaik, ditunjukan dengan rata-rata biomassa larva tertinggi yaitu 103,17 mg/10 ekor larva, tingkat persentase konsumsi sebesar 42,15%, nilai WRI sebesar 2,63 dengan nilai ECD sebesar 0,100%, serta larva memerlukan 16 hari untuk mencapai fase prepupa. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa pemberian sampah daun hasil fermentasi sebanyak 200 g merupakan hasil yang terbaik dan efektif dalam proses biokonversi. ENGLISH : Black soldier fly larvae (Hermetia illucens) is one of the insect larvae that is able to degrade various types of organic waste. However, the digestion will not be optimal if the leaf litter still contains a lot of cellulose. Microorganisms in the form of bacteria Bacillus subtilis and Trichoderma sp. are known to be able to degrade cellulose into simple molecules. Simultaneous pretreatment of Bacillus subtilis and Trichoderma sp is expected to result in good fermentation of leaf litter, so that it will increase the degradation of the cellulose structure in the leaves. This study aimed to determine larvae biomass and the percentage of substrate consumption, ECD, WRI and mass balance of larvae fed fermented leaf litter. The research was conducted by firstly fermenting the leaf litter with Bacillus subtilis and Trichoderma sp (1: 1), then used as feed for 6 days old larvae with leaf litter variations of 50, 100, 150, and 200 g/100 Hermetia illucens larvae. Data were analyzed using ANOVA at the 95% confidence level. The results showed that the 200 g of leaf litter treatment was the best treatment, indicated by the highest average larvae biomass of 103,17 mg/10 larvae, the percentage level of consumption was 42,15%, the WRI value was 2,63 the ECD value was 0,100%, and larvae need 16 days to reach the prepupa phase. Therefore, it can be concluded that giving 200 g of fermented leaf litter is the best and effective result in the bioconversion process.
