Abstract
This studi aims to find out what dramatis personae functions the trickster tale in Uncle Remus and Brer Rabbit and find out the spheres of action are contained in the the trickster tale in Uncle Remus and Brer Rabbit by Joel Chandler Harri. This study is analyzed a research will be a form of practical or applied criticism, in which the research will apply several necessary critical theories in order to analyze the objects of study. The theory is narratology Propp which is writted in his book, Morphology of Folktale. The analysis will be described and elaborated through words. Hence, this research counts as a qualitative-descriptive research. After that, the findings will be interpreted through sociological approach, particularly in relation. The results are of 47 data points were gathered from dramatis personae function if added the initial that will be 57. The most narrative function in this story, trickester tales is a trikery function, the sum of trickery is 11 dramatis personae function from 10 tales. This proves the evidence found that the number of spheres of action villains in this story was opened by 11 people out of 10 stories and found 4 heroes in the analysis of sphere action in this story.
