Abstract
Kailan (Brassica oleracea Var. Acephala) is a vegetable plant with many benefits, especially its high nutritional content and good prospects for cultivation. One way to cultivate kailan is with hydroponics. The provision of EC values and various appropriate formulations is expected to increase the growth of kailan plants with the floating raft system. The research was conducted from March to April 2021 at Rancawaru village, Sukamulya, Rancaekek District, Bandung. The study used a completely randomized design (RAL) with two factors, the first factor is the variety of EC value (N1: V1= 1,2; V2= 2,1, N2: V1= 1,3; V2= 2,4, N3: V1= 1,4; V2= 2,7, N4: V1= 1,5; V2= 3,0) and the second factor is the variety of hydroponics nutritional formulations (Formulas Sutiyoso, Formulas Resh, Formulas Hoagland & Arnon) thus there are 12 combinations were three replications with two plants in each experimental unit. The results showed the interaction between EC value and nutritional formulations on the growth of kailan on amount of chlorophyll parameters and independent tendencies on leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight and ratio shoot root. The use of EC 1,4 mS cm-1 in vegetative 1 and 2,7 mS cm-1 in vegetative 2 and Sutiyoso’s formula can increase the productivity of kailan.
