Abstract
ENGLISH : African leaves (Vernonia amygdalina) are among those used as herbal remedies for health problems such as diabetes, cancer, leukemia, lowering cholesterol levels, as antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, antiallergenic, antiinflammatory, and so on. African leaves contain secondary metabolic compounds such as flavonoid, saponin, tannin, steroids, terpene, phenol, and alkaloids that are reported to be important factors in treating such diseases. Extract of african leaves can be obtained through methods of extraction such as maseration, soxhletatios, fractionation to the aid of microwaves. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of methods and types of solvents on the extract and extract of antioxidant activity, antibacterial, and antidiabetes in african leaf extracts. The use of polar solvents gives the best yield compared to nonpolar and semipolar solvents. The highest ic50 on ethanol, a strong antioxidal method. The value of the antibacterial zone for E.coli and S.aureus has the best results in polar solvents. There's a drop in blood glucose in the testing animal with the addition of african leaves.
