Abstract

INDONESIA : Media massa memiliki kemampuan sangat cepat dalam penyebaran berita yang merupakan kumpulan peristiwa atau fenomena yang terjadi di dalam lingkungan masyarakat. Salah satu media massa yang memiliki kecepatan tinggi dalam penyebarannya adalah media online terbukti dengan banyaknya portal web yang berisi berita, meskipun memberikan kemudahan dalam mencari sebuah berita di waktu yang sama sulit pula mencari informasi yang memiliki nilai berita. Hal ini diakibatkan adanya informasi yang tidak jelas sumbernya, judul dan isi informasi yang tidak terhubung, sehingga membuat masyarakat mudak mendapatkan informasi palsu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membingkai berita kecelakaan pesawat Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 dengan menggunakan model framing Robert N. Entman, memfokuskan pada penonjolan aspek dan pemilihan isu. Selain itu ada empat elemen yang dikenal dalam teori Robert N. Entman yaitu definisi masalah, diagnosis penyebab masalah, pembuat keputusan moral, dan penekenan penyelesaian masalah. Hal ini diharapkan dapat membuktikan bagaimana suatu media mengemas informasi hingga dapat dinyatakan pengemasan tersebut adalah berita yang mempunyai nilai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif karena fenomena yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini menggunakan logika serta berpikir secara induktif. Maksudnya, penulis mengolah penelitian ini dimulai dengan melakukan pengamatan dahulu kemudian penulis menjelaskan secara general teoritik untuk pembentukan awal kesimpulan. Setelah itu penulis akan menjelaskan secara deskriptif untuk menjawab dengan memaparkan hasil penelitian yang berdasarkan dengan pendekatan model bingkai berita Robert N. Entman. Mengambil media online Suara.com dan Okezone.com dengan menggunakan framing Robert N. Entman, peneliti menemukan persamaan isu yaitu penyebab kecelakaan pesawat Sriwijaya Air SJ adalah cuaca buruk dan kerusakan pada bagian mesin pesawat yang rusak. Meskipun memiliki persamaan isu, pengemasan berita okezone.com lebih rapi dan banyak mengandung fakta dibanding Suara.com yang lebih cenderung pada spekulasi khususnya dalam mengambil simpati serta empati pembaca. ENGLISH : Mass media has a very fast ability to spread news which is a collection of events or phenomena that occur in the community. One of the mass media that has high speed in its distribution is online media as evidenced by the many web portals that contain news, although it makes it easy to find news at the same time it is difficult to find information that has news value. This is due to information that is not clearly sourced and the title and content of the information is not connected, thus making it easy for people to get false information. This study aims to frame the news of the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 plane crash using the Robert N. Entman framing model, focusing on highlighting aspects and selecting issues. In addition, there are four elements known in Robert N. Entman's theory, namely problem definition, diagnosis of the cause of the problem, moral decision maker, and emphasis on problem solving. This is expected to prove how a media package information so that it can be stated that the packaging is news that has value. The research method used is a qualitative research method because the phenomena discussed in this study use logic and think inductively. That is, the authors process this research starting with making observations first then the author explains in general theoretical for the initial formation of conclusions. After that the author will explain descriptively to answer by explaining the results of the research based on the Robert N. Entman news frame model approach. Taking the online media Suara.com and Okezone.com using Robert N. Entman's framing, the researchers found a common issue, namely that the cause of the Sriwijaya Air SJ plane crash was bad weather and damage to the damaged aircraft engine. Despite having similar issues, okezone.com's news packaging is neater and contains a lot of facts than Suara.com which is more inclined to speculation, especially in gaining sympathy and empathy from readers.
