Abstract
Kata Kunci: Berita, Efek Samping, Vaksin ENGLISH : The idea of this research arises because there are a lot of news about COVID-19 vaccine which is mazy. Since arriving in Indonesia, various issue made people doubt the safety of COVID-19 vaccine. The situation is exacerbated by the case of several people who died after vaccination. Of course, this can be a negative impact to the process of vaccination program. Quoted from Tribunnews.com Februari 21, 2021, Indonesian political indicators noted that 41% of Indonesians were reluctant to be vaccinated against COVID-19. People still have fears about the safety level of vaccines. The survey which is revealed virtuality started that 27% of the population gave reasons that the vaccine was not effective, and other results started that they felt they did not need the vaccine because they felt their body was healthy. The media then competed to report this big issue, one of them was detik.com. Therefore, the study aims to determine the tendency of online news portals from the perspective of the media news contructing a number of news about vaccinations, especially regarding the side effect of COVID-19 vaccine. The data collection technique was carried out using the documentation study method, namely the collection of news related to the side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine on detik.com online media, Edition 13 Januari-13 February 2021. This study uses the constructivism paradigm with the framing analysis method of Robert N. Entman's model. This research goes through the process of collecting, reviewing, and studying documentation, until we find out how the online news portal constructs a reality by prioritizing process and meaning (subjective perspective) rather than results. Based on the results of this study, the researchers concluded that the construction of news on detik.com was seen from Robert N. Entman's model, namely: 1. Defining problems (define problems) of this news are the number of reports related to Post-Immunization Adverse Events (AEFI);2.Estimated Causes of the Problem (diagnose causes) The COVID-19 vaccine may cause side effects; 3. Making moral judgments This news is a statement from several experts and BPOM that the side effects of this COVID-19 vaccine are mild and temporary;4. Emphasis on problem solving (treatment recommendation) This news shows that the public must follow the vaccination route, such as screening before vaccination and waiting 30 minutes after vaccination to see if there are side effects.
