Abstract

INDONESIA : Daun suruhan (Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth) merupakan tanaman liar yang tumbuh di daerah persawahan atau perkebunan yang sering dianggap sebagai tanaman gulma (tanaman pengganggu). Akan tetapi daun suruhan ini memiliki senyawa golongan flavonoid dan fenol yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat herbal karena memiliki potensi antioksidan yang cukup baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan rendemen ekstrak sampel, golongan senyawa yang terkandung, total kandungan fenolik, dan aktivitas antioksidan antara daun suruhan yang dikeringkan dan daun suruhan segar. Ekstrak daun suruhan didapatkan melalui proses ekstraksi maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol. Pada proses ekstraksi maserasi didapatkan rendemen ekstrak daun suruhan kering dan segar masing-masing yang didapatkan sebesar 12,1969% dan 1,922%. Pada uji fitokimia ekstrak daun suruhan kering dan segar menunjukkan hasil positif mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, saponin, dan steroid. Pada uji kandungan total fenolik ekstrak daun suruhan kering dan segar dengan metode Folin-Ciocalteu yang diukur serapan pada panjang gelombang 750 nm masing-masing didapatkan 42,0941 ppm dan 34,7058 ppm. Pada uji antioksidan ekstrak daun suruhan kering dan segar dengan metode DPPH diukur serapan pada panjang gelombang 515 nm dan dibandingkan dengan antioksidan sintesis asam galat dan asam askorbat masing-masing memperoleh nilai sebesar 131,5575 ppm dan 133,5302 ppm, sedangkan nilai antioksidan larutan pembanding asam galat dan asam askorbat sebesar 9,8489 ppm dan 18,4148 ppm. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa, baik daun suruhan yang dikeringkan maupun daun suruhan segar memiliki selisih nilai antioksidan yang kecil dan termasuk kedalam antioksidan yang memiliki kekuatan yang sedang. ENGLISH : The suruhan leaves (Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth) are wild plants that grow in rice fields or plantations that are often considered weed plants (confounding plants). However, this leaves has phenolic compounds such flavonoids and phenol that can be used as an herbal remedy because it has a fairly good antioxidants potential. The study aimed to compare extract yields, the group of compounds contained, the total phenolic content, and antioxidant activity between dried leaves and fresh leaves. Extract of the leaves is obtained through the process of maceration extraction using ethanol solvents. In the process of maceration extraction obtained the yield of dried and fresh leaf extract obtained by 12,1969% and 1.922% respectively. In phytochemical tests dried and fresh leaf extracts showed positive results containing alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and steroids. In the test the total phenolic content of dried and fresh leaf extract with the Folin-Ciocalteu method measured uptake at wavelengths of 750 nm was obtained 42.0941 ppm and 34.7058 ppm, respectively. In the antioxidant test, dried and fresh leaf extracts with the DPPH method measured uptake at a wavelength of 515 nm and compared to antioxidant synthesis of gallic acid and ascorbic acid obtained values of 131.5575 ppm and 133.5302 ppm, while the antioxidant values of the solution comparing error acid and ascorbic acid amounted to 9.8489 ppm and 18.4148 ppm. The results of this study found that, both dried leaves and fresh leaves have a small difference in antioxidant value and included in antioxidants that have moderate strength.
