Abstract

Taman Wisata Alam (TWA) Kawah Darajat merupakan suatu wilayah yang memiliki luas area 1.991 Ha dan tergabung dalam kawasan Gunung Papandayan. TWA Kawah Darajat juga berfungsi sebagai habitat hidup dari banyak satwa salah satunya adalah Lutung Jawa (Trachypithecus auratus). Lutung Jawa adalah jenis primata endemik Pulau Jawa yang dilindungi oleh negara. Adanya aktivitas manusia di sekitar Kawah Darajat ini akan mempengaruhi kelangsungan hidup dari Lutung Jawa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kepadatan populasi dan distribusi dari Lutung Jawa di TWA Kawah Darajat Gunung Papandayan Garut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Line Transect yang digabungkan dengan metode Eksplorasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan di lapangan diperoleh hasil pendugaan ukuran populasi Lutung Jawa yang berada di TWA Kawah Darajat adalah 110 ekor yang terbagi menjadi 14 kelompok berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan tentang kepadatan Populasi Lutung Jawa di TWA Kawah Darajat Gunung Papandayan Garut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepadatan populasi Lutung Jawa di TWA Kawah Darajat Gunung Papandayan Garut adalah 0,41 individu per hektar dan Persebaran Lutung Jawa di TWA Kawah Darajat Gunung Papandayan Garut terdapat 14 titik. Nature Park (NP) Darajat Crater is an area that has an area of 1991 Ha and is incorporated in the area of Mount Papandayan. NP Darajat Crater also functions as a living habitat for many organisms, one of which is Javan Langur (Trachypithecus auratus). Javan Langur is an endemic species of Java Island protected by the state based on Decree of the Minister of Forestry and Plantation No. 733 / kpts-II / 1999. The existence of human activities around the Darajat Crater will affect the survival of Javan. The purpose of this study was to determine the population density and distribution of Javan Langur in NP of Darajat Crater, Mount Papandayan Garut.This research uses Line Transect method combined with Exploration method. Based on observations in the field, it was obtained that the estimation of the size of the Javan Langur population in NP Darajat Crater was 110 animals which were divided into 14 different groups. Based on observations about the population density of Javan Langur in NP Darajat Crater Mount Papandayan Garut, it can be concluded that the population density of Javan Lutung in NP Darajat Crater Mount Papandayan Garut is 0.41 individuals per hectare and Javan langurs in NP Darajat Crater Mount Papandayan Garut distributed There are 14 points.
