Abstract
The main problem of this research is the irregular condition of traditional market in Bantar Gebang Bekasi City. The Government of Bekasi City therefore takes a policy to implement the revitalization of traditional market. This research aims to describe the implementation of traditional market revitalization policy in Bantar Gebang Bekasi City. By referring to Van Meter and Van Horn’s theory of policy implementation, the policy implementation includes six dimensions, namely policy standards and objectives, policy resources, interorganizational communication and enforcement activities, characteristics of implementing agencies, economic, social and political conditions, and dispositions of implementers. This research uses desctiptive method. Data of this research, both primary and secondary, are collected by observation, interview and literature study. Data of this research are qualitatively described. Results of this research reveal that based on the dimensions of policy standards and objectives, policy resources, interorganizational communication and enforcement activities, characteristics of implementing agencies, economic, social and political conditions, and dispositions of implementers, the implementation of traditional market revitalization policy in Bantar Gebang Bekasi City is not generally optimal. This is impacted on the inconvenient condition of traditional market, both the decreased sellers and the decreased buyers, then influencing the revenue of unoptimal market retribution.
