Abstract
Almost all computer systems use English, it is considered difficult for some computer users especially for the beginners are not easy to understand. For that reason the researcher examines the computer term who result are expect beneficial for the users. This research has the object of study of several articles on the terms computer of a website (http://www.pcmag.com/) and computer tutorial website (http://www.buil-your-own-computerips.com/) and (http://www.virtualizationadmin.com/). The focus of this study is on (1) What computer terms are categorized as polysemy (2) What the meaning of those polysemy (3) What are types of those polysemous words. The researcher has selected semantic theory by Kreidler (1998) associated with the theory of polysemy by Saeed (1997), Reimer (2010) and Apsarjan (1992) theory that discuss the types of polysemy. In doing this research, the researcher used qualitative descriptive method for analyzing the data. From the results of the study, researcher found 21 computer terms of datare categorized as polysemy which is divided into two types, namely regular polysemy which has 17 data and irregular has four data.
