Abstract

ENGLISH : Speech disfluency is a situation in which a person has difficulty expressing his or her thoughts by speaking. This happens because the processing of words a concept in the brain does not work automatically so that and the lack of synchronization between the brain and the speech organs so that there is a pause of time, repetition of words or unclear in speech. This able to occurred due to several factors from inside and outside. It can also interfere in communication because it gives rise to "ambiguity" when speaking. Speech disfluency often occurs when speaking in public.The study focused on two issues: the type of speech disfluency that occurred to Joe Biden as well as Joe Biden's expression and the interrelationship of Joe Biden's expression and the factors that made Joe Biden did speech disfluency speech during the presidential debates using the theory of Sigmund Freud.The study was about an analysis of two videos of the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, but focused only on Joe biden's speech, facial expressions, and identification of the type of speech disfluency that Joe Biden experienced.analyze this problem, the study used Sigmund Freud's theory. This research method uses qualitative methods and the data is descriptive. Speech was 89 times and 99 times in the second debate. as well as some images of Joe Biden's expression as additional data to clarify the research of this thesis. INDONESIA : Kekeliruan berbicara adalah sebuah situasi dimana seseorang kesulitan untuk mengutarakan apa yang dipikiran dalam komunikasi. Hal ini terjadi karena proses dari kata suatu konsep di dalam otak tidak berlansung secara otomatis serta kurang sinkronya organ otak dengan organ bicara sehingga terjadi kekeliruan berbicara seperti adanya jeda dalam bicara, pengulangan kata serta ketidakjlasan dalam berbicara. Kekeliruan berbicara ini bisa terjadi karena faktor luar dan faktor dalam dan kekeliruan ini juga bisa menggangu dalam komunikasi karena bisa menimbulkan “miskomunikasi” atau ketidakjelasan. Kekeliruan ini biasa terjadi ketika berbicara di depan umum.. Penelitian ini berfokus pada dua masalah : Jenis-jenis kekeliruan dalam berbicara yang terjadi pada Joe Biden dengan menganalisis ekspresi dari beliau dan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan Joe Biden mengalami masalah tersebut ketika debat berlangsung dengan menggunakan teori Sigmund Freud Penelitian ini menganalisis dari dua video debat pemilihan calon presiden Amerika Serikat antara Donald Trump dan Joe Biden yang hanya berfokus pada cara bicara Joe Biden, ekspresi dan analisis mengenai jenis kekeliruannya dengan ekspresi wajah Joe biden. Untuk menganalisis masalah tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan teori dari Sigmund Freud. Penlitian ini juga menggunakan metode kualitatif serta datanya yang deskriptif . pada video pertama kekeliruan terjadi sebanyak 89 kali sementara video kedua terjadi sebanyak 99 kali, lalu penelitian ini juga mencantumkan ekspresi dari beliau sebagai data tambahan untuk memperjelas penlitian ini.
