Abstract

INDONESIA : Kebutuhan manusia akan informasi diiringi dengan kemajuan teknologi yang kian canggih, kini tidak bisa dihindari. Media massa sebagai wadah informasi seperti media sosial telah membawa dunia baru dalam kehidupan manusia. Hal tersebut bersamaan dengan kebutuhan akan informasi dan menyampaikan pendapat. Fenomena ini terjadi sampai warga desa yang terpapar masifnya kemajuan di bidang teknologi dan informasi. Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin canggih inilah, khususnya internet memberikan peluang bahwasannya siapapun bisa menjadi seorang jurnalis. Terdapat beberapa poin yang melandasi penelitian ini, yakni guna mendefinisikan pengertian citizen journalism, kemudian untuk mengetahui media Info Griya Bandung Indah (GBI) sebagai penyalur informasi warga komplek GBI, dimana didalamnya terdapat proses jurnalisme warga atau citizen journalism. Lalu yang terakhir, pemahaman, keterlibatan dan pengalaman citizen journalism pada media Info GBI. Dalam mendukung penggarapan skripsi ini, penulis menjabarkan konsep citizen journalism, Komunikasi Massa, Teori Media Baru (New Media), Media Sosial, dan Jurnalistik Online. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif karena penelitian yang dilakukan hasilnya akan menggambarkan objek yang diteliti dari data berupa tulisan maupun ucapan yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan hasil temuannya nanti akan disajikan dalam uraian pembahasan sesuai dengan pendeskripsian objek. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa proses jurnalisme warga yang terjadi media Info GBI, khususnya pada komplek Griya Bandung Indah merupakan hal yang positif, bermanfaat dan berdampak signifikan bagi warga komplek Griya Bandung Indah. Dimana kehadiran jurnalisme warga ini menjawab dan melengkapi kebutuhan masyarakat komplek Griya Bandung Indah baik itu kebutuhan umum berupa sandang, pangan dan papan warga, sampai kebutuhan yang terkait dengan kemajuan teknologi komunikasi saat ini, yakni kebutuhan akan mencari dan menyebarluaskan informasi. Selain itu, warga menerima dengan baik kehadiran jurnalisme warga pada Info GBI. Namun, tidak sedikit pula warga Griya Bandung Indah yang masih belum teredukasi mengenai ilmu atau wawasan kejurnalistikan. ENGLISH : The human need for information accompanied by increasingly sophisticated technological advances is now unavoidable. Mass media as a place of information such as social media has brought a new world in human life. This goes hand in hand with the need for information and expressing opinions. This phenomenon occurs until villagers are exposed to massive advances in technology and information. The development of increasingly sophisticated technology, especially the internet, provides an opportunity that anyone can become a journalist. There are several points that underlie this research, namely to define the meaning of citizen journalism, then to find out the Info Griya Bandung Indah (GBI) media as a distributor of information for residents of the GBI, in which there is a process of citizen journalism. And then, the understanding, involvement and experience of citizen journalism on GBI’s Info. In supporting the work of this thesis, the author describes the concepts of citizen journalism, Mass Communication, New Media Theory, Social Media, and Online Journalism. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive method because the results of the research carried out will describe the object under study from the data in the form of writing and speech obtained from the interviews and the findings will be presented in a description of the discussion in accordance with the description of the object. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the process of citizen journalism that occurs in the Info GBI, especially in the Griya Bandung Indah is a positive, useful and significant impact for residents of the Griya Bandung Indah. Where the presence of citizen journalism answers and complements the needs of the community at the Griya Bandung Indah, whether it is general needs in the form of clothing, food and housing for residents, to needs related to current advances in communication technology, namely the need to seek and disseminate information. In addition, residents welcome the presence of citizen journalism at Info GBI. However, there are not a few residents of Griya Bandung Indah who still do not know the knowledge or insight about journalism.
