Abstract

INDONESIA : Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi bahwa Partisipasi masyarakat dan warga dikedua pesantren sebagai lokus penelitian dalam implementasi manajemen peningkatan mutu pesantren masih harus ditingkatkan, Kemandirian pesantren dalam mengelola dan mengurus kepentingan warga pesantren sesuai dengan aspirasi belum sepenuhnya dapat dilakukan, Belum diketahui keterbukaan manajemen pesantren, baik dari segi dana maupun program, belum diketahui sejauh mana tingkat kemandirian pesantren, dalam mengelola seluruh komponen pesantren. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis aspek-aspek bagaimana perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan implikasi dalam peningkatan mutu di Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Ihsan Baleendah dan Mathla'ul Huda Bandung. Kerangka berpikir dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada teorinya Edwar Sallis yang menyatakan bahwa“Total Quality Management merupakan suatu pendekatan dalam menjalankan usaha yang mencoba untuk memaksimalkan daya saing organisasi melalui perbaikan terus menerus atas produk, jasa, manusia, tenaga kerja, proses, dan lingkungan. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif, dengan metode deskriptif analitik. Objek penelitian dilakukan pada para stake holder ustad/ustadah di Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Ihsan Baleendah dan Mathla'ul Huda Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis datanya melalui reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa : 1) Perencanaannya didua pesantren ini dimulai dengan menyusun draf, mulai dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan hingga pengevaluasiannya. Selanjutnya ditetapkan melalui mekanisme rapat 2) Pelaksanaan manajemen mutu pendidikan dikedua pesantren ini sudah dilaksanakan dengan baik melalui teknik TQM Fokus terhadap pelanggan, Perbaikan proses, TQM menekankan evaluasi diri, Keterlibatan total, peran kiyai, Peran pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, peran ortu, peran santri.3) Evaluasinya dengan cara mengevaluasi setiap kegiatan dalam pelaksanaan di lapangan secara rutin 4) implikasi dari kedua pesantren ini terlihat dari peningkatan Output dan Outcome pendidikan, terbentuknya konsensus terhadap peningkatan mutu, pengadaan sarana prasarana menjadi lebih cepat, kedisiplinan guru semakin meningkat, terbenutknya hubungan kekeluargaan, semangat untuk melakukan inovasi dan improvisasi, kepercayaan masyarakat meningkat, menguatkan posisi dan tradisi kepesantrenan, santri tidak mebedakan ustad, loyalitas ustad semakin tinggi. ENGLISH : This research is motivated by the fact that community and citizen participation in both Islamic boarding schools as a research locus in the implementation of management of pesantren quality improvement still needs to be improved, the independence of the pesantren in managing and managing the interests of pesantren residents in accordance with their aspirations has not been fully implemented. nor the program, it is not known to what extent the level of independence of the pesantren, in managing all components of the pesantren. The purpose of this study is to analyze the aspects of how to plan, implement, evaluate and have implications for quality improvement at the Al-Ihsan Baleendah and Mathla'ul Huda Bandung Islamic Boarding Schools. The framework of thinking in this study refers to Edwar Sallis' theory which states that "Total Quality Management is an approach in running a business that tries to maximize organizational competitiveness through continuous improvement of products, services, people, labor, processes, and the environment." The approach in this research is qualitative, with a descriptive analytic method. The object of research was carried out on the ustad / ustadah stakeholders at the Modern Al-Ihsan Baleendah Islamic Boarding School and Mathla'ul Huda Bandung. The technique of collecting data by means of interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis was done through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: 1) The planning in these two pesantren was started by compiling a draft, starting from planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring to evaluating it. Furthermore, it is determined through a meeting mechanism 2) The implementation of education quality management in these two pesantren has been carried out well through the TQM technique. Focus on customers, process improvement, TQM emphasizes self-evaluation, total involvement, the role of kiyai, the role of educators and educational staff, the role of parents, the role of students. 3) The evaluation is by evaluating every activity in the field on a regular basis 4) the implications of the two Islamic boarding schools can be seen from the increase in output and outcome of education, the formation of consensus on quality improvement, faster provision of infrastructure, increased teacher discipline, the formation of relationships. kinship, the enthusiasm for innovation and improvisation, increased public trust, strengthened the position and tradition of the pesantrenan, the students did not differentiate the ustad, the ustad's loyalty was getting higher.
