Abstract
This research was intended to explore students’ perception of using Telegram Application in Critical Listening classrooms. Specifically, this research was aimed to gain two objectives: 1) to describe the find out the teaching of critical listening using the Telegram App carried out in the EFL classroom settings, 2) to describe students' perceptions on learning ciritical listening through Telegram App. This research used a qualitative research design with case study specifications. The participants of this study were five students of class A from the 2020 generation. Observation and interview were used to obtain data about the teaching of critical listening using the Telegram App carried out in the EFL classroom settings and students' perceptions on learning ciritical listening through Telegram App. The result has shown that in this case study students in the third semester of the English department have positive perceptions on learning listening through Telegram application. They said that Critical Listening is easy to study through Telegram because there is more practice than explaining the material. Telegram also helped them because its features are more complete than other applications and the features are interesting. This research helps evaluate the learning activity of Critical Listening through Telegram application and knowing students’ perceptions of using Telegram in Critical Listening classroom.
