Abstract

Limbah sekam padi mengandung selulosa sebesar 58,8% yang termasuk ke dalam kelompok biopolimer, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan bioplastik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan tampilan lembar kerja, mendeskripsikan hasil uji validasi lembar kerja dan mendeskripsikan hasil karakterisasi bioplastik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode design research tipe Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu preliminary research. development or prototyping phase dan assessment phase. Prosedur percobaan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu tahap ekstraksi selulosa dari limbah sekam padi, tahap pembuatan bioplastik dengan membuat tiga sampel yaitu dengan penambahan plasticizer polietilen glikol, dengan penambahan plasticizer propilen glikol serta tanpa penambahan plasticizer dan tahap uji bioplastik. Uji validasi terhadap lembar kerja dilakukan oleh tiga dosen pendidikan kimia dengan hasil yang diperoleh yaitu 0,61 sehingga lembar kerja dinyatakan valid untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Rice husk waste contains 58.8% cellulose which is included in the biopolymer group, so it can be used as raw material for making bioplastics. The purpose of this study was to describe the appearance of the worksheet, to describe the results of the validation test of the worksheet and to describe the results of the characterization of bioplastics. The research method used in this research is the design research which consists of three stages, namely preliminary research. development or prototyping phase and assessment phase. The experimental procedure in this study was carried out in three stages, namely the stage of extracting cellulose from rice husk waste, the stage of making bioplastics by making three samples, namely with the addition of plasticizer polyethylene glycol plasticizer propylene glycol plasticizers and the bioplastic test stage. The validation test on the worksheets was carried out by three chemistry education lecturers with the results obtained, namely 0.61 so that the worksheets were declared valid to be used as learning media.
