Abstract

INDONESIA : Pemilihan kepala daerah di Kabupaten Cianjur merupakan salah satu bentuk dari adanya perwujudan kedaulatan rakyat dimana proses pemilihan kepala daerah ini adalah salah satu kegiatan politik yang mana melibatkan masyarakat sebagai posisi atau mengambil peran yang penting yang menentukan dalam proses politik. Mengingat begitu pentingnya peran atau partisipasi dari masyarakat ini, maka peneliti dalam hal ini ingin melihat, mengkaji, dan menganalisis, sejauh mana partisipasi politik dari masyarakat di daerah Cipanas, Kabupaten Cianjur pada pemilu Kepala Daerah tahun 2020. Adapun rumusan masalah yang peneliti buat yaitu bagiamana partisipasi politik masyarakat desa Cipanas dalam pemilihan kepala daerah tahun 2020, kemudian bagaimana pemilihan umum Kepala daerah di desa Cipanas Kabupaten Cianjur. Selanjutnya metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu menggambarkan objek atau subjek yang diteliti sesuai dengan apa adanya, yaitu sesuai dengan keadaan yang ada di lapangan, dengan tujuan peneliti dapat mendeskripsikan secara sistematis, fakta dan karakteristik objek yang diteliti secara tepat. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan wawancar dan juiga studi kepustakaan. Berikutnya hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bajwa partisipasi politik masyarakat di desa Cipanas dalam pemilihan Kepala Daerah tahun 2020 yaitu hanya mencapai 64.0% disebabkan oleh adanya kondisi pandemi covid-19 serta banyak faktor lainnya juga yang ikut mempengaruhi jalannya pilkada seperti halnya cuaca ekstrem dan hal lainnya. Meskipun tidak sesuai dengan target yangsudah ditentukan oleh KPU Cianjur, namun dari angka tersebut sudah terlihat bahwa tingkat partisipasi masyarakat tergolong konvensional dan aktif. Selain itu juga bentuk sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Cianjur dan juga PPS Cipanas sudah sangat maksimal dilakukan, sehingga proses penyelenggaraan pemilihan kepala daerah di desa Cipanas pun berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan. ENGLISH : The regional head election in Cianjur Regency is one form of the realization of people's sovereignty where the regional head election process is one of the political activities which involves the community as a position or takes an important decisive role in the political process. Given the importance of the role or participation of the community, the researchers in this case want to see, examine, and analyze the extent to which the political participation of the people in the Cipanas area, Cianjur Regency in the 2020 Regional Head election. The formulation of the problem that the researchers made is how the political participation of the Cipanas village community in the 2020 regional head election, then how is the regional head election in Cipanas village, Cianjur Regency. Furthermore, the method used in this research is to use a descriptive method, which is to describe the object or subject under study in accordance with what it is, that is, according to the conditions in the field, with the aim of the researcher being able to systematically describe the facts and characteristics of the object being studied appropriately. The data collection technique used is to conduct interviews and also study literature. Next, the results of the study show that the political participation of the people in Cipanas village in the 2020 Regional Head election, which only reached 64.0%, was due to the Covid-19 pandemic and many other factors that also influenced the election, such as extreme weather and other things. Although it is not in accordance with the target set by the Cianjur KPU, it can be seen from these figures that the level of community participation is conventional and active. In addition, the form of socialization carried out by the Cianjur General Election Commission (KPU) and also the Cipanas PPS has been carried out very optimally, so that the process of holding regional head elections in Cipanas village runs well and in accordance with health protocols.
