Abstract

Semiotics is a scientific study or analytical method to examine signs in the context of scenarios, images, texts, and scenes in films into something that can be interpreted. Meaning that objects not only carry information, in this case the objects want to communicate, but also constitute a structured system of signs used in the film. One of the films containing many semiotic elements is this film entitled Ron’s Gone Wrong. This film talk about the friendship between humans and robots. The purpose of this study was to analyze the value of friendship in the film Ron’s Gone Wrong with Ferdinand de Saussure's Semiotic Theory. The researcher propose the statements of the problem as: 1. What are the linguistic signifier represented frienship value in the film Rone's Gone Wrong (2021)? and 2. What are the linguistics signified represented friendship value in the film Rone's Gone Wrong (2021)?. The researcher used descriptive qualitative methods with Ferdinand de Saussure's Semiotics analysis approach. In qualitative research, the main type of data is substantive categorical information which is difficult to measure. The data in this research are works of art narrated in the form of films, in this case Ron’s Gone Wrong, according to the classification of qualitative data types (2016). Qualitative data analysis was carried out interactively through data collection and data reduction. After the researcher analyzed the data, the researcher found the types of sign used in this film. The researcher found that were 63 signifiers and signified used in this film.
