Abstract

This study examines the students’ responses and experiences of the role LMS E-knows for EFL students. Specifically, this research aims to achieve two objectives: 1) How are the students’ responses toward using LMS E-Knows for their learning process during the pandemic and post-pandemic era? 2) How are the students’ experiences using LMS E-Knows for their learning during the pandemic and post-pandemic era? This study employs a case study-specific qualitative research design. This study followed the procedures of Creswell's (2012) qualitative data analysis. 33 students from the English education program at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung's fifth semester participated in this study. Questionnaires and interviews were used to obtain data on students’ responses and experiences of the role of LMS E-knows for EFL students. The results demonstrate that throughout the epidemic, students' responses using LMS E-knows, The majority of pupils concur that LMS was beneficial for both the thirteen additional students and those who were learning English throughout the pandemic. It suggests that LMS was helpful for picking up English while the pandemic was going on. However, the majority of students don't feel that using an LMS after the pandemic or offline lessons was helpful for studying English. And the second is students’ experiences on the role of LMS E-knows during the pandemic and post-pandemic. During the pandemic, the students quite happy with the LMS because it was easy to use and did not drain a lot of quotas, after the pandemic student preferred face-to-face learning, the LMS could only be used for urgent matters. The study concluded that Students believed that LMS is very helpful during a pandemic because it can be an effective learning medium. After the pandemic, the students feel that LMS is no longer effective. Students agree that this LMS is more effective for online learning than offline learning. Because when learning is normal the teaching and learning process can run well without using an LMS, but when online we really need the LMS itself.
