Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari temuan peneliti bahwa kurang matangnya dalam menentukan tujuan di masa depan pada siswa-siswi kelas XII SMAN 1 Tukdana Kabupaten Indramayu. Berdasarkan hasil data awal ditemukan bahwa siswa-siswi SMAN 1 Tukdana Kabupaten Indramayu tidak dapat melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang selanjutnya disebabkan oleh faktor ekonomi, karena rata-rata mereka berasal dari keluarga menengah bawah. Seringkali mereka memutuskan untuk bekerja setelah lulus SMA nanti untuk membantu perekonomian keluarganya hanya siswa-siswi dari keluarga menengah atas yang dapat melanjutkan studi hingga ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi atau siswa-siswi yang mempunyai latar belakang intelektual yang tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan korelasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa-siswi kelas XII SMAN 1 Tukdana Kabupaten Indramayu dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 216 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dengan skala Dukungan Orang Tua dan skala Minat. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis regresi sederhana, yang meliputi korelasi Product Moment Pearsons untuk menguji validitas item, Alpha Cronbach’s untuk menguji reliabilitas instrumen penelitian, dan Simple Linear Regression untuk pengujian hipotesis penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dengan analisis deskriptif kategori pada variasi Dukungan Orang Tua didapatkan 18.98% memiliki Dukungan Orang Tua tinggi/optimis dan 14.35% memiliki Dukungan Orang Tua rendah/pesimis. Variabel Minat Melanjutkan Studi ke Perguruan Tinggi didapatkan 16.20% memiliki kategori tinggi/optimis dan 17.13% memiliki Minat Melanjutkan Studi Ke Perguruan Tinggi rendah/pesimis. Hasil hipotesis R square (R^2) sebesar .100, hal ini berarti terdapat 10% variasi dari Minat Melanjutkan Studi Ke Perguruan Tinggi yang dipengaruhi oleh variabel Dukungan Orang Tua. Selanjutnya hasil penelitian hipotesis dan koefisien regresi, diperoleh sebesar .338 (p = .000 < .05) yang artinya Dukungan Orang Tua berpengaruh positif Terhadap Minat Melanjutkan Studi Ke Perguruan Tinggi Pada Siswa-Siswi Kelas XII SMAN 1 Tukdana Kabupaten Indramayu. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi Dukungan Orang Tua maka semakin tinggi pula Minat Melanjutkan Ke Perguruan Tinggi. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah Dukungan Orang Tua maka semakin rendah pula Minat Melanjutkan Studi Ke Perguruan Tinggi. This research begins with the findings of researchers that less mature in determining future goals in students of class XII SMAN 1 Tukdana Indramayu District. Based on the results of preliminary data found that the students of SMAN 1 Tukdana Indramayu district can not continue education to the next level caused by economic factors, because the average they come from low-income families. Often they decide to work after high school graduation later to help their family's economy only students from upper secondary families who can continue their studies to a higher level or students with high intellectual background. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational design. This study was conducted on the students of class XII SMAN 1 Tukdana Indramayu District with a population of 216 people. Data collection techniques in this study is a questionnaire with Parental Support scale and Interest scale. The technique of processing and data analysis is done by simple regression analysis, which includes Product Moment Pearsons correlation to test item validity, Alpha Cronbach's to test the reliability of research instruments, and Simple Linear Regression for testing the research hypothesis. Based on the results of research and discussion with descriptive analysis of categories on Parent Support variations obtained 18.98% have a high Parent Support / optimistic and 14.35% have Low Parent Support / pessimistic. Variable Interest Continuing Study to Higher Education obtained 16.20% have high / optimistic category and 17.13% have Interest Continue Study to Higher Education / pessimist. The result of hypothesis R square (R ^ 2) is .100, this means there is 10% variation of Interest Continuing Study To Higher Education that is influenced by Parent Support variable. Further research results hypothesis and regression coefficient, obtained for .338 (p = .000 <.05) which means Support of Parents have positive influence on Interest Continue Study To Higher Education Students in Class XII SMAN 1 Tukdana Indramayu District. So it can be concluded that the higher the Parent Support the higher the Interests Continue to Higher Education. Conversely, the lower the Support of Parents the lower the Interests Continue Study to Higher Education.
