Abstract
All English students are unable to study pronunciation; however, there are numerous strategies for learning pronunciation. Tongue Twister is one method for learning and enhancing pronunciation, although it has both positive and negative meanings. To achieve the goals of this study, mixed methods were used: first, quantitative methods were used to investigate the effectiveness of the Tongue Twisters technique on student pronunciation skills, and second, qualitative methods were used to investigate students' perceptions of the use of Tongue Twisters for the teaching of English pronunciation. The participants were students from SMP Labschool, UPI Cibiru, and Bandung who participated in extracurricular English Club. The sample size was limited to 17 students. The study discovered that most students had a positive opinion of the Tongue Twister, and the pre- and post-test results demonstrated that the student's pronunciation competence improved, meaning that the Tongue Twister can be used as a pronunciation learning strategy. It would be better if teachers used creative tongue twisters to get students excited about learning pronunciation during this time.
