Abstract

Baja Oxide Dispersion Strengthened (ODS) merupakan salah satu material maju (advanced material) yang mampu mempertahankan sifat-sifatnya atau tidak mengalami penurunan kualitas pada suhu yang tinggi. Baja yang memiliki kandungan kromium tinggi disintesis dengan metode mechanical alloying menggunakan HEM (High Energy Milling) lalu dikarakterisasi dengan teknik berkas neutron menggunakan HRPD (High Resolution Powder Difractometer). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar perubahan ukuran kristal, keberhasilan pada paduan dan persebaran Y2O3 pada matriks baja feritik ODS yang memiliki komposisi Fe-20Cr-0,5Y2O3. Morfologi serbuk terlihat paduan nya sebesar 84% dengan komposisi didominasi Fe-Cr. Hasil XRD dan HRPD memperlihatkan amorfisasi paduan serbuknya, tersebut menandakan partikel terpecah lebih kecil dan ukuran kristalit pada pellet HRPD 31.23 nm, dan pada pellet XRD 41.88 nm Steel Oxide Dispersion Strengthened (ODS) is one of the advanced materials (advanced material) that is able to maintain its properties or not decrease quality at high temperatures. Steel with high chromium content is synthesized by mechanical alloying method using HEM (High Energy Milling) and then characterized by neutron beam technique using HRPD (High Resolution Powder Difractometer). This study aims to find out how big the crystal size changes, the success in the alloy and the distribution of Y2O3 on the ferritic ODS steel matrix which has the composition of Fe-20Cr-0,5Y2O3. The morphology of the powder is seen in its alloy of 84% with the composition predominantly Fe-Cr. The XRD and HRPD results show the amorphous alloying of the powder, indicating a smaller split particles and size particle is a crystallite at HRPD 31.23 nm, and pellet XRD is 41.88 nm
