Abstract

The mosque is an important component in human life, especially Muslims because the mosque is a means of improving human relations with their creator and relations with fellow creatures. This is included in the category of worship as required by Muslims. The existence of a mosque with all the activities and creativity of Muslims is enough to have a positive impact in the religious and social fields. This study aims to find out how mosque management improves da’wah activities in the middle of a commercial business area including planning, organizing, implementing and supervising carried out at the Trans Studio Bandung Mosque. The theory used in this study is the theory of G.R Terry which suggests that management is a special process consisting of planning, organizing, implementing and controlling functions to determine and achieve the expected goals. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique uses direct observation methods, direct interviews with relevant informants, and takes documentation of everything related to mosque management data in increasing da’wah activities in the middle of the commercial business area at the Great Mosque of Trans Studio Bandung. The results of this study Indicate that the management of the Trans Studio Bandung Grand Mosque in increasing da’wah activities in the middle of a commercial business area through several stages according to the management functions that: 1) At the planning stage carried out by the management of the Trans Studio Bandung Great Mosque of activities will be implemented grouped into three namely short-term planning, medium-term planning and conditional planning. 2) At the organizing stage, the management structure and work assignments or job descriptions are determined. 3) At the implementation stage at the Great Mosque of Trans Studio Bandung, giving motivation, guidance, establishing relationships and communication, and giving rewards to active administrators. 4) At the monitoring and evaluation stage, the management of the Trans Studio Bandung Great Mosque carries out direct control of the mosque during the activity. The evaluations carried out can be grouped into three, namely: evaluation of post-activity meetings, annual meetings which are held every three years, and conditional (non-permanent) meetings.
