Abstract

Today globalization is usually defined as a process of being interdependence or interconnected among countries in the world. The effect of globalization occurs is influence language into other language which incorporated or spontaneous. It phenomena has to show in language contact as loan language. In variety mass media such as tabloid Sundanese that has to show influence English loan. Aim is to find phenomena influence English loan in “Galura” Sundanese tabloid (region language). That shape influence words can be analyzed by classifying of types of loan. Based on that background, the researcher addressed two problems: 1) What are the types of English loan in Galura tabloid? 2) How to know some typological observations in English loanwords in Galura Sundanese tabloid? The researcher tried to find the kinds English loan in Sundanese use Haugen (1950) theory, Katamba (1994), made Iwan Irawan Jendra (2010) and then tried to know morphology process English loan in Sundanese with Sundanese morphology according to Prawirasumantri (2010) In this research, the data which have been observed are taken from “Galura” sundanese tabloid. The researcher uses descriptive method to describe the research and the technique to analyze the data is qualitative approach. Through this method the writer tried to describe phenomena influence English loans in Sundanese words. This research showed that 1) To found identify that has types in Loan according Haugen theory. 2) To found observation typological English loan in morphological Sundenese words. This research was resulting comprehensive conclusion study that to show how the heritage language for existence in Sundanese people.
