Abstract
INDONESIA: Situ Sipatahunan memiliki fungsi untuk kepentingan irigasi, pariwisata, dan sumber air minum untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan air domestik. Dilihat dari pemanfaatannya, Situ Sipatahunan sangat penting bagi masyarakat Baleendah. Untuk itu, pemantauan kualitas perairan sangatlah diperlukan demi memonitor kualitas air agar dapat diketahui adanya potensi pencemaran dan apakah air di lokasi tersebut masih dalam kategori yang dapat menunjang fungsi-fungsi di Situ Sipatahunan. Fitoplankton dapat digunakan sebagai bioindikator pencemaran air karena organisme ini memiliki sifat yang sensitif terhadap perubahan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas perairan Situ Sipatahunan berdasarkan komunitas fitoplankton dan keterkaitannya dengan parameter fisika-kimia lingkungan. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga stasiun dengan metode purposive sampling berdasarkan pertimbangan rona lingkungan sekitar. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan plankton net no. 25 pada ukuran jaring 400 µm. Analisis data menggunakan indeks kelimpahan, keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dominansi, saprobik dan uji korelasi untuk melihat hubungan keanekaragaman fitoplankton dengan parameter fisika dan kimia. Terdapat fitoplankton sebanyak 44 spesies di perairan Situ Sipatahunan yang terdiri dari Kelas Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Dinophyceae, Xanthophyceae, Euglenophyceae, dan Rhodophyceae. Kelimpahan berkisar antara 855 – 1096 sel/L. Tingkat keanekaragaman tergolong sedang (1,79 – 1,94), keseragaman sedang (0,60 – 0,69), dan dominansi rendah (0,22 – 0,29). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara nitrat dan fosfat terhadap tinggi rendahnya keanekaragaman fitoplankton. Kualitas perairan termasuk ke dalam kategori β–Meso/oligosaprobik atau tercemar ringan. ENGLISH: Situ Sipatahunan has functions for irrigation, tourism, and drinking water sources to fulfill domestic water needs. Judging from its utilization, Situ Sipatahunan is very important for the Baleendah community. For this reason, water quality monitoring is needed to monitor water quality so that it can be known whether there is potential pollution and whether the water at that location is still in a category that can support the functions of Situ Sipatahunan. Phytoplankton can be used as a bioindicator of water pollution because these organisms are sensitive to environmental changes. The purpose of this study was to determine the water quality of Situ Sipatahunan based on the phytoplankton community and its relationship with environmental physico-chemical parameters. The research was conducted at three stations with purposive sampling method based on consideration of the hue of the surrounding environment. Sampling using plankton net no. 25 at 400 µm mesh size. Data analysis used indices of abundance, diversity, uniformity, dominance, saprobic and correlation test to see the relationship of phytoplankton diversity with physical and chemical parameters. There are 44 species of phytoplankton in the waters of Situ Sipatahunan consisting of Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Dinophyceae, Xanthophyceae, Euglenophyceae, and Rhodophyceae classes. Abundance ranged from 855 - 1096 cells/L. Diversity was moderate (1.79 - 1.94), uniformity was moderate (0.60 - 0.69), and dominance was low (0.22 - 0.29). There is a significant relationship between nitrate and phosphate to the high and low phytoplankton diversity. Water quality is categorized as β-Meso/oligosaprobic or lightly polluted.
