Abstract
Sexual harassment, which is rampant in universities, is a serious problem in the world of education. Even though many victims experienced sexual harassment, some of them were reluctant to report or disclose the incident. Therefore, assertive behavior is needed by victims as a preventive and curative step to overcome the continuing occurrence of sexual harassment. This study aims to test whether self-efficacy and religiosity can affect the assertive behavior of students who are victims of sexual harassment. This study uses a quantitative method with a causal design. The research sample consisted of 140 students at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung who had experienced sexual harassment. Determination of the sample using the non-probability sampling technique with the type of convenience sampling The data analysis in this study used multiple regression. The results of the analysis show that self-efficacy and religiosity together influence assertive behavior with an effect of 11.1%. However, when tested separately, only self-efficacy had a significant effect on assertive behavior, while religiosity did not have a significant effect.
