Abstract
Indonesia merupakan negara ke-3 penghasil padi terbesar di Asia Tenggara. Padi tersebut diolah menjadi pangan pokok sehingga akan menyisakan jerami padi yang menjadi limbah di lingkungan. Kandungan limbah jerami padi berpotensi digunakan untuk pupuk organik salah satunya melalui penambahan inokulan jamur Phanerochaete chrysosporium yang dikombinasikan dengan vermicomposting menggunakan cacing Eisenia fetida. Pada vermicomposting perlu adanya campuran substrat dengan menggunakan kotoran sapi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi jerami padi dan kotoran sapi terhadap fisik-kimia dan mikrobiologi serta rasio media terbaik dalam menghasilkan vermikompos. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 perlakuan yaitu: perlakuan P1 ( 100% KS + 0% JP), P2 ( 90% KS + 10% JP), P3 ( 70% KS + 30% JP ), P4 ( 50% KS + 50% JP ), dan P5 ( 0% KS + 100% JP ). Parameter yang diamati meliputi faktor fisik (pH, suhu, dan Electrical Conductivity), kimia (C, N, P, dan K), dan total koloni fungi yang optimum. Berat total setiap vermibin adalah 350 gram dan digunakan cacing dewasa sebanyak 8,75 gram/vermibin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan P3 dengan rasio komposisi media 7:3 antara kotoran sapi dan jerami padi menunjukkan hasil paling optimum berdasarkan parameter fisik yaitu pH 7, EC 1.47 mS/cm, suhu 26.20°C, dan sifat kimia C 44.57% , N 1.31%, P 1.43%, K 1.52%, serta memiliki total populasi fungi sebanyak 2,1 x 105 CFU/mL. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini bahwa metode vermicomposting dengan E. fetida dan penambahan jamur P. chrysosporium berpengaruh terhadap perubahan sifat fisik-kimia dan mikrobiologi dari kompos limbah jerami padi dan kotoran sapi. Indonesia is the 3rd largest rice producer in Southeast Asia. The rice is processed into staple food so that it will leave rice straw which becomes waste in the environment. The content of rice straw waste has the potential to be used for organic fertilizer, one of which is through the addition of Phanerochaete chrysosporium fungal inoculants combined with vermicomposting using Eisenia fetida worms. In vermicomposting, it is necessary to mix the substrate using cow dung. The study aimed to determine the effect of the composition of rice straw and cow dung on the physical-chemical and microbiological as well as the best media ratio in producing vermicompost. This study used 5 treatments, namely: P1 (100% CD + 0% RS), P2 (90% CD + 10% RS), P3 (70% CD + 30% RS), P4 (50% CD + 50% RS), and P5 (0% CD + 100% RS). Parameters observed included physical (pH, temperature, and Electrical Conductivity), chemical (C, N, P, and K), and total optimum fungal colonies. The total weight of each vermibin was 350 grams and 8.75 grams of adult worms/vermibin were used. The results showed that the P3 treatment with a media composition ratio of 7:3 between cow dung and rice straw showed the most optimum results based on physical parameters namely pH 7, EC 1.47 mS/cm, temperature 26.20°C, and chemical properties C 44.57%, N 1.31%, P 1.43%, K 1.52%, and had a total fungal population of 2.1 x 105 CFU/mL. The conclusion of this study is that the vermicomposting method with E. fetida and the addition of P. chrysosporium fungi has an effect on changes in the physical-chemical and microbiological properties of composted rice straw waste and cow dung.
