Abstract

ENGLISH : This research focuses on finding the types of hegemony and the cultural impact of hegemony formed in the film Turning Red through characterizations using Antonio Gramsci's theory of Hegemony and Cultural Hegemony. Furthermore, this study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with the Creswell method on text and image data, has unique steps in data analysis and draws a variety of designs. The data used were 19 data in the form of images and transcripts in the film Turning Red. The final results of this study regarding the type of hegemony are Integral hegemony with 4 data, Decadent hegemony with 3 data, and Minimal hegemony with 2 data. And the last is the impact of cultural hegemony formed in the film Turning Red which consists of Myth with 2 data, Dynamic Character with 4 data, and Resistance with 4 data. Based on the analysis it can be concluded that the film Turning Red reflects how individuals can interact with various types of hegemony. Then cultural hegemony shows how changes in ideology and support from different social groups can affect one's identity and life choices. And lastly, forming emotional development and behavioral changes in the character's journey towards finding identity and freedom. And each event is experienced by Mei Lee's character. Keyword: Hegemony, Cultural Hegemony, Impact, Ideology, Type of Hegemony INDONESIA : Penelitian ini berfokus untuk menemukan jenis-jenis hegemoni dan dampak kultural dari hegemoni yang terbentuk dalam film Turning Red melalui penokohan dengan menggunakan teori hegemoni dari Antonio Gramsci. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode Creswell pada data teks dan gambar, memiliki langkah-langkah unik dalam analisis data dan menarik desain yang beragam. Data yang digunakan sebanyak 19 data berupa gambar dan transkrip. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini tentang tipe hegemoni yaitu hegemoni Integral dengan 4 data, hegemoni Dekaden dengan 3 data, dan hegemoni Minimal dengan 2 data. Dan yang terakhir adalah dampak hegemoni budaya yang terbentuk dalam film Turning Red yang terdiri dari Myth dengan 2 data, Dynamic Character dengan 4 data, dan Resistance dengan 4 data. Berdasarkan analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam film Turning Red mencerminkan bagaimana individu dapat berinteraksi dengan berbagai jenis hegemoni. Kemudian hegemoni budaya menunjukkan bagaimana perubahan ideologi dan dukungan dari kelompok sosial yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi identitas dan pilihan hidup seseorang. Dan terakhir, membentuk perkembangan emosi dan perubahan perilaku dalam perjalanan karakter menuju pencarian jati diri dan kebebasan. Dan setiap peristiwa dialami oleh karakter Mei Lee.
