Abstract

The declarative speech actions used by President Joe Biden in a variety of comments are discussed in this paper. The two main topics of this study are: (1) What kinds of declarative speech acts does President Joe Biden use in his numerous remarks? (2) How does the audience react to President Joe Biden's numerous declarative speech acts? The researcher then applies Yule's theory to explain declarative speech acts. Researchers employed a qualitative descriptive approach to carry out this study. The information used in this study was collected from a number of statements made by President Joe Biden. This investigation yields some findings for the researcher, Declarative speech acts fall into five categories: information questions, decisions, persuasion, apologies, and prohibitions. There were identified a total of 17 data, including 6 data for information inquiries, 3 data for determining types, and 3 data for convincing types. 2 data for those who apologize, and 3 data for those who forbid. The second finding is that each time President Joe Biden makes a declarative speech in the movie, the varied notes he conveys have a variety of responses from the audience. Specifically, when the audience replies to the speaker vocally while also expressing themselves through body language or facial expressions.
