Abstract
ENGLISH : One of the skills in 21st century learning that is important for students to have is critical thinking skills, but based on observations of students' critical thinking skills are still lacking. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the think talk write model on students' critical thinking skills in the body's defense system material. This study uses a quantitative approach (quasi experiment). Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 52 people consisting of class XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 at West Bandung State MA. Based on the results of research data analysis, it is known that there is an increase in critical thinking skills in the experimental class with an N-Gain value of 0.51 (moderate category) while the control class has an N-Gain of 0.42 (moderate category). The results of the statistical test showed that the data were not normally distributed so to test the hypothesis using a non-parametric test, namely the Mann Whitney test. The results of the Mann Whitney test have a significance value of 0.035. Because the significance value is 0.035 <0.05, H1 is accepted. From the results of this study it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of learning with the think talk write model on students' critical thinking skills in the body's defense system material.
