Abstract

ENGLISH : This study aims to determine the phenomenon of neurogenic stuttering in people with Asperger's syndrome. There are two research questions in this study: 1) What types of stuttering and stuttering patterns are found in the video Elon Musk: The Future We're Building - - and Boring? 2) How causes of stuttering in the video Elon Musk: The Future We're Building - - and Boring?. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research method because the process only emphasizes describing the phenomenon of neurogenic stuttering. Data was collected using listening and writing techniques. Then reference-based methods were used in this research, including categories, classification, analysis, discussion, reporting. Based on the theory of Hedge M.N. and Davis D. there are six types of stuttering part - word repetition, whole - word repetition, phrase - repetition, block pause, interjection, and broken word. Then, based on Lickley's theory, the stuttering pattern consists of five patterns, namely filled pause, repetition, substitution, insertion and deletion. The cause of Elon Musk's stuttering is due to the Asperger's syndrome he suffers from. The findings regarding the types of stuttering resulted in six types of stuttering with different frequency results, but in this study Elon Musk's interjection type conversations produced more frequencies. The findings show that in Elon Musk's speech there are five types of stuttering patterns with different frequencies, the most frequent stuttering patterns are repetition patterns.Based on Shipley's theory, his assessment of Asperger's syndrome sufferers shows that there are speech and language difficulties, especially in pragmatics and prosody. INDONESIA : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fenomena gagap neurogenik pada penderita sindrom asperger. Terdapat dua pertanyaan penelitian dalam penelitian ini : 1) Jenis kegagapan dan pola kegagapan apa saja yang terdapat dalam video Elon Musk: The Future We're Building - - and Boring? 2) Bagaimana penyebab terjadinya kegagapan dalam video Elon Musk: The Future We're Building - - and Boring?. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif karena pada prosesnya hanya menekankan pada penggambaran fenomena gagap neurogenik. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik mendengar dan menulis. Kemudian metode berdasarkan referensi pun digunakan pada penelitian ini diantaranya kategori, klasifikasi, analisis, diskusi, reporting. Berdasarkan teori Hedge M.N. dan Davis D. terdapat enam jenis kegagapan part – word repetition, whole – word repetition, phrase – repetition, block pause, interjection, and broken word. Kemudian, berdasarkan teori Lickley pola stuttering terdiri dari lima pola yaitu filled pause, repetition, substitution, insertion, dan deletion. Penyebab terjadinya gagap pada Elon Musk dikarenakan sindrom asperger yang dideritanya. Hasil temuan dari jenis kegagapan menghasilkan terdapat keenam jenis kegagapan dengan hasil frekuensi yang berbeda-beda namun dalam penelitian ini percakapan Elon Musk jenis interjection menghasilkan lebih banyak frekuensi. Hasil temuan menunjukkan pada ucapan Elon Musk terdapat kelima jenis pola kegagapan dengan frekuensi yang berbeda, pola kegagapan terbanyak ada pada pola repetition. Berdasarkan teori Shipley, pada assessmentnya mengenai penderita sindrom asperger menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesulitan bicara dan bahasa, terutama dalam pragmatik dan prosodi. Hal tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa penyebab kegagapan pada Elon Musk disebabkan oleh sindrom asperger.
