Abstract

INDONESIA : Persepsi Masyarakat Desa Mekarmukti melatar belakangi penelitian terkait pandangan mengenai program Breaking News TV One. Sebab, salah satu tujuan Masyarakat Desa Mekarmukti, ialah mempersiapkan diri untuk terjun langsung ke lapangan. Ada banyak program televisi yang menyajikan tayangan yang sama, tapi masing-masing program memiliki konsep penayangan yang menjadi ciri khas tersendiri. Hal ini, menjadi daya Tarik bagi khalayak untuk menyaksikan tayanagn yang disajikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, untuk menggali persepsi Masyarakat Desa Mekarmukti pada berita kriminal yang disajikan oleh stasiun televisi TV One. Dilihat dari proses seleksi, atau penyaringan terhadap informasi dari stimulus yang diterima oleh panca indera. Kemudian proses interpretasi, mengenai program Breaking News TV One. Serta untuk mengkaji reaksi Masyarakat Desa Mekarmukti, dari apa yang didapatkan setelah menonton Berita Kriminal di TV One. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif, sehingga hasil penelitian akan dijelaskan berdasarkan situasi yang terjadi dalam suatu peristiwa. Metode ini digunakan karena setiap informan memiliki sifat yang bervariasi, maka perlu dijelaskan dalam bentuk kalimat yang mendukung, sesuai data yang diperoleh. Sedangkan, teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah wawancara dan studi kepustakaan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan data bahwa informan melakukan proses seleksi pada aspek pembawa acara dan topik yang dibahas, hal ini yang menjadi salah satu pendorong bagi informan untuk terus menyaksikan tayangan berita kriminal di TV One pada program Breaking News. Dalam proses interpretasi, informan menyebutkan bahwa program berita kriminal di TV One mampu memenuhi dua fungsi media yaitu informatif dan penting. Proses ketiga yaitu reaksi, informan menjadi lebih ketakutan, khawatir dan berita kriminal tersebut dapat mempengaruhi sikap mereka terhadap masalah kriminalitas. Beberapa informan menganggap berita tersebut kurang obyektif dan terlalu dramatis. ENGLISH : The perception of the Mekarmukti Village Community is the background for research regarding views regarding the Breaking News TV One program. Because, one of the goals of the Mekarmukti Village Community is to prepare themselves to go directly into the field. There are many television programs that present the same shows, but each program has its own unique broadcast concept. This becomes an attraction for the audience to watch the shows presented. The aim of this research is to explore the perceptions of the Mekarmukti Village Community on crime news presented by the TV One television station. Judging from the selection process, or filtering of information from stimuli received by the five senses. Then the interpretation process, regarding the Breaking News TV One program. As well as to examine the reaction of the Mekarmukti Village Community, from what they got after watching Crime News on TV One. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, so that the research results will be explained based on the situation that occurred in an event. This method is used because each informant has varying characteristics, so it needs to be explained in the form of supporting sentences, according to the data obtained. Meanwhile, the techniques used in this research are interviews and literature study. This research produced data that informants carried out a selection process on aspects of the presenter and the topics discussed, this became one of the incentives for informants to continue watching crime news broadcasts on TV One in the Breaking News program. In the interpretation process, the informant stated that the crime news program on TV One was able to fulfill two media functions, namely informative and important. The third process is reaction, informants become more afraid, worried and the crime news can influence their attitudes towards crime issues. Some informants considered the news less objective and too dramatic.
