Abstract

INDONESIA : Poligami merupakan jenis pernikahan yang pengkajiannya masih sangat menarik untuk dikaji. Poligami merupakan pernikahan dimana seorang suami menikahi lebih dari satu istri. Berbagai permasalahan yang terjadi dalam keluarga poligami dapat berdampak pada penerimaan diri remaja. Penerimaan diri pada remaja dalam keluarga poligami merupakan suatu yang penting, karena penerimaan diri menjadi salah satu proses dalam remaja membangun hubungan yang baik dengan lingkungannya, serta dengan penerimaan diri yang baik remaja akan mudah mengoptimalkan potensi yang dimilikinya. Tujuan penelitiannya ini untuk mengetahui proses penerimaan diri remaja dalam keluarga poligami. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif pendekatan fenomenologi, teknis analisis data menggunakan analisa deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu 3 orang dengan kriteria usia 13-21 tahun, mempunyai ayah yang berpoligami dan mempunyai ibu lebih dari satu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga subjek telah melewati 5 proses dalam penerimaan diri yaitu proses aversion, proses curiosity, proses tolerance, proses allowing dan yang terakhir proses friendship. Ini menunjukkan bahwa ketiga subjek telah menerima dirinya sebagai anak dari keluarga poligami. Yang mendasari ketiganya menerima poligami dikeluarganya yaitu keyakinan terhadap takdir Tuhan. ENGLISH : Polygamy is a type of marriage whose study is still very interesting to study. Polygamy is a marriage where a husband marries more than one wife. Various problems that occur in polygamous families can have an impact on teenagers' self-acceptance. Self-acceptance for adolescents in polygamous families is important, because self-acceptance is one of the processes in which adolescents build good relationships with their environment, and with good self-acceptance adolescents will easily optimize their potential. The aim of this research is to determine the self-acceptance process of adolescents in polygamous families. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, technical data analysis using descriptive analysis. The research subjects were 3 people with the criteria aged 13-21 years, having a polygamous father and having more than one mother. Data collection was carried out using interview and observation methods. The research results showed that the three subjects had gone through 5 processes in self-acceptance, namely the aversion process, curiosity process, tolerance process, allowing process and finally the friendship process. This shows that the three subjects have accepted themselves as children of polygamous families. What underlies the three of them accepting polygamy in their family is their belief in God's destiny.
